Frequently Asked Questions

Dreams Investment Solutions provides subadvisory and asset management services exclusively to institutional clients. This includes Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), broker-dealers, family offices, and other qualified institutional investors. We do not accept individual retail clients directly.

Minimum investment thresholds vary by strategy and engagement type. We encourage prospective partners to contact us directly to discuss specific requirements for their situation. Our team will work with you to determine the appropriate solution for your clients' needs.

In a subadvisory arrangement, you maintain the primary relationship with your clients while Dreams handles portfolio construction, optimization, and ongoing management using our Heavy-Tail Optimization methodology. We integrate seamlessly into your existing practice — your clients stay with you, and we provide the portfolio science behind the scenes.

Heavy-Tail Optimization (HTO) is our proprietary portfolio construction methodology that replaces the Gaussian (bell curve) assumptions used in Modern Portfolio Theory with the Student-t distribution, which more accurately models the fat tails of real market returns. Instead of optimizing for the Sharpe ratio, HTO optimizes for Expected Tail Loss (ETL). Learn more about HTO →

The Advisor Portal provides secure access to compliance documents, portfolio reports, and research materials. Registered advisors can sign in or create an account. New registrations require admin approval, which typically takes 1–2 business days.
